Akintayo Oloko holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Banking and Finance and MSC in Marketing, both from the University of Lagos. He joined Nigerian Intercontinental Merchant Bank (now Intercontinental Bank Plc.) in 1993 where he was responsible for Credit and Marketing, specializing in the Aviation sector.In 1996, Mr. Oloko joined FSB International Bank Plc. where he spent 4 years and rose to the position of Deputy Manager responsible for business development in the Maritime Sector where he expanded the clientele base in the middle-tier market.
He was also the Apapa Area Manager for Standard Trust Bank Plc. (now UBA Plc.) where he spearheaded and developed the Bank’s entry into the large corporate segment of the Apapa market via participation in the key Distributorship Scheme of one main Large Corporate Organizations. Akintayo Oloko joined Trust Bank Of Africa Limited as Senior Manager in 2003 where he rose to the post of Assistant General Manager in 2005. He was responsible for the supervision of the Niche Markets Group, Product Development Group, Personal Finance Group and Customs Revenue Collection unit.

Mr. Akintayo Oloko joined Safetrust Savings & Loans Ltd (now Safetrust Mortgage Bank Limited) in 2006 as a General Manager, where he rose to the position of Executive Director before being appointed as the Managing Director in 2016.
Mr. Oloko is an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School, Wharton School of Business, Philadelphia, USA and International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Lausanne, Switzerland.

He is currently the Vice President and a Member of Council of the Mortgage Banking Association of Nigeria (MBAN).
